Grier Musser Museum in Los Angeles

You don’t have to go to England in order to enjoy Victorian architecture. If Southern California is more convenient, come on out to enjoy top Los Angeles hotels as well as a turn-of-the-century (19th to 20th) historic Queen Anne home. The Grier Musser Museum is located near downtown L.A., where you’ll be close to a number of historic areas, such as Olvera Street, Union Station, Angelinio Heights and West Adam’s Historical Homes.

The Grier Musser Museum contains antique collections with holiday exhibits changing monthly over the course of the year. It’s close to Chinatown, Little Tokyo, the IMAX theater, the Queen of the Angel’s Cathedral, New Disney Hall and the Japanese American Museum — close to many sites that show off the real Los Angeles and not just the theme parks and studios.

This restored Victorian home is open Wednesdays through Saturdays from 12 noon to four in the afternoon, and reservations are required. On Saturdays only, you may see a 15 minute postcard show that features Old Los Angeles, titled, “Remembering Los Angeles.”

The admission is ten dollars for adults, seven for seniors and students, and five dollars for children. The address is 403 South Bonnie Brae Street, Los Angeles, and may be reached by calling 213-413-1814.
