Historic City of Boston
Boston is one of those great American cities that seems to continually unfold in its great cultural aspects and historic significance the further you explore it. Most people who visit Boston are aware that it was the sight of the Boston Tea Party, but how many people also realize that several of the early battles in the Revolutionary War occurred there? Major historic landmarks like the sight of the Battle of Bunker Hill and the Siege of Boston are great places to visit while you’re in the city, but it’s difficult to know just how much there is to see and do there until you actually arrive at one of the luxury hotels Boston USA .
This naturally begs the question of what all could possibly be going on in Boston and has gone on in the past. It seems like almost every street in the city has a major historic landmark or building that is representative of an important period in history or architecture and it’s almost like walking through a large museum when traveling the streets of Boston. And the city is well aware of this aspect and highlights all of the historic elements and has various tours available that will emphasize its history and cultural importance.
Even Fenway Park, a contemporary ball field holds some historic significance. It was built in the early twentieth century and was first open to the public in 1912. It has been the home of the Boston Red Sox since that time and most importantly it is the oldest ball park in the country. And while Fenway may not have been an essential aspect of the nation’s early development it has definitely played a major role in professional baseball’s development in this country and more than one important battle has been carried out on its field. As with everything else about the city, the park is an important point of pride for the residents, and is just one of the many contemporary elements that also holds some important historical significance.
